Sadly, the reality of babies being born HIV+ is part of daily life in Bali - and very much part of our work on a day to day basis too. The availability and cost of retroviral drugs that can make living with HIV a manageable condition (as opposed to the life threatening condition that it used to be).
Thanks to action by the Indonesian Government and the work of many experts in the field of HIV, we are able to provide effective, long term retroviral medication and ancillary treatment so that the innocent youngsters that through no fault of their own face life living with HIV are supported, loved and cared for as opposed to being isolated and rejected.
